Rap News Network has started off the New Year of 2006 with a brand new site design and features. Many things have been changed and the feedback has been great.
Rap News Network has started off the New Year of 2006 with a brand new site design and features. Started in 2000, Rap News Network located on the web at www.rapnews.net has been dedicated to providing news coverage for rap, hip hop, and R&B artists. Expanding in past years has brought the addition of the popular artist index, CD & DVD Releases, email alerts, blogs, and forums.
Newly created email alerts system allows users to subscribe to free alerts for custom or all content published. When creating a custom alerts list, you can choose from an extensive list of story topics and or your favorite artists. Optionally you can choose to receive alerts as they happen or a compiled list, once per day.
The CD & DVD release index allows quick access to a compiled list of new or upcoming CDs and DVDs accompanied by a release date, notice of explicit content and a buy link. The newly designed home page features the top 10 latest releases upcoming as well as featured albums at the top next to the top featured headlines. Clicking the CD & DVD Release section will display a list of music albums and DVDs that date back a year.
Music videos and audio streams are now set to automatically play upon loading the page, making the play process as easy as possible. Now hosting music videos, continue to check back for all the latest rap videos.
When navigating through an artist profile, the section labeled Web Links now is linked up with the data from the Rap Directory located on the web at www.rapdir.com. Artist link categories and main site listings are displayed on the artist Web Links page.
Artist profiles now feature a link to related artists and the official artist site on every profile page. Related artists listed under the artist file photo is a new feature which allows you to navigate to related artists accompanied by a caption to give more detail of the artist relation such as a group member or group founder.
Staff now have new blogs which allow posting of small notes, personal or business related, as well as news stories which don’t have enough content to post a full news story on the primary site. The newly added blogs are part of a new online community labeled the Rap News Community located on the web at www.community.rapnews.net . User forums are an integrated feature which allows community members to talk and chat amongst each other on various topics rap related and not. Each blog, forum and thread has an RSS feed which you can use in a desktop news reader program for easy access without having to navigate to the site section every time.
