Midwestern drag queen podcaster Wanda Wisdom launches a major offensive against world tardiness today by offering listeners a personalized wakeup call.
Minneapolis, MN - May 8, 2005 -- Wanda Wisdom, drag queen personality behind the "Lucky Bitch Radio" podcast, announced today her intent to offer listeners something no other podcaster has yet to – a personalized wakeup call. By waking listeners out of a sound sleep, the Internet celebrity hopes to fight a world pandemic of tardiness and ensure listeners are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for her daily radio show.
"People wake up late all over the world every single day. It's a tragedy," said the six-foot-two-inches-tall Minneapolis drag queen. "Besides, a lot of my listeners are slackers and computer geeks who stay up way too late looking at inappropriate things on the Internets. If they lose their jobs and end up on the street, I'll lose my audience. The way I see it, this whole wakeup call thing is a real win-win."
Beginning Monday, May 9, listeners can fill out an online request form for their free wakeup call. The first round of wakeup calls will take place Tuesday, May 31. Depending on the success of the event, additional dates may be added. Participation in this event is free and open to anyone who visits the site (http://luckybitchradio.com) and fills out a request form.
Wanda Wisdom began the Lucky Bitch Radio podcast (Internet radio show) in March 2005 in an effort to share her unique perspective with the world. Topics range from the absurd to the sublime. The podcast is produced daily and can be downloaded directly from the website or subscribed via RSS.
