The Lao Veterans of America (LVA) and the Center for Public Policy Analysis (CPPA) will hold a wreath laying ceremony at the Vietnam War Memorial to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War in Laos and to honor Hmong and Laotian veterans, and their American advisors, who served during the conflict (from 2:30 p.m.. to 3:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 12 , 2005, at the Vietnam Memorial Monument, Washington, D.C.).
Ethnic Laotian and Hmong veterans and their refugee families, who served in the U.S. Secret Army during the Vietnam War, will participate and attend the ceremony. A procession will continue to the apex of the Vietnam War Memorial “Wall” where a wreath laying ceremony will be conducted.
TOPICS: The wreath laying, memorial service will mark the 30th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War in Laos and honor the Laotian and Hmong veterans, and their American advisors, who served in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
