Pharmagest Inter@ctive, Definitive Solutions AG and CAP SpA
Oracle has announced the winners of its second OracleŽ PartnerNetwork (OPN) Innovation Awards for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Pharmagest Inter@ctive of France received first prize for its 'LGPI - Integrated Portal Management SW' solution, aimed at the pharmaceutical industry. Prizes were also awarded to Switzerland's Definitive Solutions AG, with the 'myVisitor-Integrated Visitor Management" initiative and CAP SpA of Italy for its 'Dolomiti Superski' project.
Awarded every six months, the OPN Innovation Awards are designed to foster cutting-edge solutions amongst partners, showcasing outstanding solutions, services or initiatives, where Oracle products and technology have been applied to create added value for the customer and generate new business potential.

Pharmagest Inter@ctive - 'LGPI - Integrated Portal Management SW'
Pharmagest Inter@ctive's unique solution, LGPI, is designed to help pharmacists offer more efficient and effective patient care. Developed using OracleŽ JDeveloper on OracleŽ Technology Platform, LGPI offers a low-cost, web-based ERP system, designed for pharmacies with up to ten employees. It is the first product in the market offering an integrated portal for pharmacy management, allowing clients to communicate in real-time with other groups across the medical product lifecycle, from laboratories and physicians to health authorities and patients. For example, laboratories can send promotional messages or The Health Minister can send an alert instantly to 10,000 pharmacists using the portal.
Definitive Solutions AG - 'myVisitor-Integrated Visitor Management'
myVisitor is an RFID-based visitor management application, which can be applied to event management, retail, hotels and restaurants and built on Oracle Technology. For event organisers myVisitor allows them to minimise logistical costs for the management of visitors, reduces the security requirement and delivers marketing information on participant behaviour. Existing solutions on the market do not offer the latter. In retail environments, RFID tags can be attached to shopping carts, tracking preferred customer paths anonymously and enabling optimal placement of products around the store. myVisitor uses Oracle Database and Application Server.
CAP SpA - 'Dolomiti Superski'
Dolomiti Superski is a consortium of 12 ski areas and 45 resorts in a district including the southern Tyrol, Trentino and the Veneto in Italy. The project, based on RFID technology, allows skiers to carry their ski pass, which has an RFID tag, in their pocket, removing the time required for it to be checked or stamped. The pass is read by local systems using wireless technology, such as GPRS and GSM networks, providing ski operators with accurate real-time information to analyse behaviour, identify opportunities for new services and makes the whole skiing experience more enjoyable. The Dolomiti Superski solution uses OracleŽ Database, OracleŽ Application Server and makes use of a variety of web services and mobile technologies, creating an infrastructure with the potential to be replicated around the world.
