Delta Airlines is conducting a Recruitment Expo in College Park on Thursday, December 30, 2004, 10:00AM - 3:00PM. The event will take place at Hugh C. Conley Recreation Center - Multi-Purpose Room located at 3636 College Street, College Park, GA 30337
The airline has immediate opportunities for Customer Service Agents - Ramp Operations. Delta representatives will be accepting resumes and taking applications from those interested in the position. Applicants are encouraged to come with resumes and dressed in business attire. More information about the position follows. The Fulton County Office of Workforce Development will also be participating in the expo. Representatives will be available to assist jobseekers by providing information on other resources available to assist them with their job search as well as information on job training resources, unemployment insurance information, and other useful information.
Delta Customer Service Agent - Ramp Operations Job Summary
This position performs a variety of duties related to ramp operations and cargo sales and service. Specific functions, tasks and departments will vary depending upon the location and operational requirements. Ramp operations duties include expeditious lifting and transporting of baggage, mail, and cargo to/from loading equipment at the aircraft, and operating tow tractors for the push back of aircraft. Ramp cargo duties may include accepting, delivering, and handling cargo shipments including preparing paperwork; lifting and transporting shipments to/from loading equipment.
Minimum Requirement
*At least 18 yrs of age
*High School diploma or GED
*Valid driver’s license
*Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repetitiously
*Required to undergo a fingerprint-based, FBI criminal history records check
*Be passionate about providing outstanding customer service

*Interested candidates must be willing to work 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates will be paid during training.
Current Atlanta positions are Regular Part Time, Ramp only. Regular part time work schedules are less than 40-hours per week, with a minimum work schedule of 20-hours per week. All Customer Service Agents within a location/department bid for available shifts which are then awarded according to company length of service within the employee's bid classification.
